Chief
Tyler Millix has been a member since 1987 and an
officer since 1992. He has been the Chief for
the last 6 years. He is a certified EMT,
Firefighter I and Public Safety Telecommunicator.
Tyler is the Chief Emergency Dispatcher for the
Tolland County Mutual Aid Fire Dispatch Center.
Prior to his appointment as Chief Dispatcher he
served as the Union President of IAFF Local
3841. Tyler is the Search Commander for the
Tolland County Mutual Aid Fire Service Search
and Rescue organization. Classes attended:
Hazmat Awareness and Operational, Arson & Fire
Photography, Rural Tactical Operations,
Recognizing and Identifying Hazardous Materials
and Incident Command System. |

Woodworth

Deputy
Chief David Woodworth has been a member since
1989 and an officer since 1991. He is a
certified Paramedic, Firefighter I and Physician
Assistant. Dave has many years of experience in
the health care field starting with being a
surgical assistant in the Navy and then at St.
Francis Hospital and Johnson Hospital. Classes
taken: Hazmat Awareness and Operational, Arson &
Fire Photography, Open Water Diver and Incident
Command System. |

Assistant Chief Stuart
Cobb has been a member since 1988 and an officer
since 1991. He is a certified EMT, Fire Officer
II, Fire Service Instructor II, Firefighter III,
Pump Operator and Hazmat Technician. Stuart has
been a full-time employee here since 1993 and is
a Deputy Fire Marshal and Open Burning Official

19 years of Fire/EMS experience with the
Staffordville Fire Department spending five
years as Rescue Lieutenant and five years as
Rescue Captain. His current certifications
include: Firefighter I and EMT. Classes
attended: PADI Advanced Open Water-I SCUBA,
Hazmat Operational, Incident Command Systems,
Basic Vehicle Rescue, LPG Emergencies, Chimney
Fires, FF Safety and Survival, Jaws of Life
Extrication Specialist, Extrication Airbag,
Burning Building Collapse and Basic Pump
Operator. Mike was awarded the 2004 John Service
Award and the 2005 Officer of the Year. |

Lieutenant Gilmour has been
member since 2000. He works part time at
Willington fire dept. as a firefighter/EMT.
Jeremiah's certifications are EMT-D, Firefighter
II, Hazardous Materials Operational, Mass
casualty management, Rescue technician core,
Aerial operator, and pursuing Vehicle and
machinery rescue. Jeremiah also has CT
commercial driver’s license class B. |

Lieutenant Saunders
has been a member since 2002. Dan is reliable
member of the Tuesday night duty crew for the
past several years as a driver for the
ambulance. He is a certified MRT, advanced open
water diver, Firefighter I, and Haz-Mat
awareness.

Lowell Karpuska

Lieutenant Karpuska has been a member since 1997.
He is a certified EMT, Fire Officer II, Fire Service
Instructor II, Firefighter III, Hazmat Technician, Combi-Tube
& Epi-Pen Instructor. Lowell was a member of the
Tolland Fire Department from 1988-1997 where he also
served as a Lieutenant. He is a member of the Tolland
County Dive Team and has certificates as an Open Water
Scuba Instructor, Dive Master, Master Scuba Diver,
Rescue Diver, Dive Rescue Specialist I, Night Diver,
Equipment Specialist Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver,
