Willington is a small
rural town in northeastern Connecticut. We are located
20 miles northeast of Hartford on I-84. Willington is
dominantly residential in nature but has a small center
of antique shops, a major travel stop, and is only a
couple of miles from the University of Connecticut main
campus. We operate out of 2
stations, and we also provide mutual aid response for fire and
medical to: UCONN, Mansfield, Tolland, Stafford Springs,
Ashford, and Union. There are (2) Firefighter/EMT's on
during the hours of 5am-5pm, and (2) Firefigher/EMT's from 5pm to 5am (7) days-a-week
to staff the ambulance at station 13 . Willington # 1 was
originally housed in what is now station 213, as a means
of protection to the hall mill and South Willington.
Willington Hill Fire Department is the other fire
department in town, they are located on Old Farms Rd.
